David Godfrey

Head of Academic Programmes at UCL

David Godfrey is an Associate Professor in Education, Leadership and Management, and the Head of Academic Programmes at UCL Centre for Educational Leadership. Previously, he was co-director of the Centre for Educational Evaluation and Accountability and was a lead inspector for the Independent Schools Inspectorate. An advocate of research-informed practice in education, his projects and publications include research-engaged schools, school peer review, inspection systems and lesson study. In July 2017, David was acknowledged in the Oxford Review of Education as one of the best new educational researchers in the UK. His articles and books have been cited worldwide, and he has worked with networks of schools in UK and internationally, advising on research-informed improvement.

Mark Quinn

Programme Leader at UCL

Associate Professor Mark Quinn is a Programme Leader at UCL, Institute of Education’s Centre for Educational Leadership (CEL). He designs and facilitates school leadership development programmes in England and internationally, working in the state and international school sectors. He leads on a number of near-to-practice inquiry projects for schools across the country, including the STEM Action Research Project for the Royal Academy of Engineers. He teaches on modules for MA and MBA programmes for CEL. Currently, he is Content Lead for the UCL Early Career Teacher Development programme, with over 20,000 teachers in England.

Greg Ross

Associate Professor at UCL

Greg Ross is an Associate Professor (Teaching) at UCL Institute or Education. In the UCL Centre for Educational Leadership he leads the design and delivery of leadership development programmes for ministries of education, education foundations, and international school groups as well as international consultancy projects focused on school leadership and school system improvement. Greg also supports teacher research through his facilitation of teacher research and development (R&D) programmes in England and internationally. Alongside this, Greg teaches on the centre’s postgraduate programmes. His doctoral research focuses on how leadership may enable curriculum innovation in schools. Before joining UCL Institute of Education, Greg was a senior leader and English teacher in London secondary schools. Prior to teaching, he worked on education and child rights programmes in Cuba, Palestine and Lebanon.
